Position Description
- Exchanges information with the art faculty as well as students, faculty, and staff as needed; regarding program related subject-matter, resources, materials, events, policies and procedures associated with the division events, programs, and spaces.
- Assists organization and helps receiving of art for various gallery shows.
- Shows careful attention at all times when handling art pieces.
- Assists with all aspects of gallery events and outreach activities.
- Make presentations to small and large groups, and conduct outreach activities to publicize course, services, performances, and programs as assigned.
- Uses a variety of computer software to perform assigned duties.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Knowledge of relevant software, including Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Photos, Google Forms) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong sense of punctuality and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to easily adapt to the changing needs of the division and a fast-paced work environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Art Major, or has taken relevant courses.
- Interest in learning gallery practices.
- Flexibility with work schedule.
- This is a Federal Work Study position and applicants must be eligible.
