Position Description
- Peer Navigators will work 10-20 hours per week to:
• Plan, organize, and lead activities on campus during Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
• Schedule and conduct check-ins with student mentees on their academic progress in the Kababayan Learning Community cohort classes.
• Serve as an embedded Peer Navigator in one of the cohort classes.
• Attend weekly meetings with the faculty coordinator and Skyline AANHPI Peer Navigators.
• Check in with members of the AANHPI Advisory Board on projects as needed.
• Track number of students served, frequency of students served, reasons for students seeking support, attendance for programs/workshops, and other relevant data points
Requirements
- Responsible and reliable
• Strong sense of punctuality and ability to meet deadlines
• Ablity to work well independently as well as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ablity to reply in a timely manner to e-mail and WhatsApp messages from the AANHPI Peer Navigators team during regular designated work hours
• Detail-oriented and ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with key campus software/websites: WebSchedule, WebSmart, Canvas, Google
• Knowledge of relevant software, including Microsoft Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Drive, Photos, Sheets, and Forms), Canva and Adobe Acrobat
• Can support students from the office in-person, via Zoom and phone
• Proficiency in Calendly to schedule office hours with students - Must be FWS eligible
