Student Ambassador – International Student Program

Position Description The International Student Program (ISP) is looking for student ambassadors!

  • Engage with ISP students through Canvas courses, Pronto and other messaging applications
  • Help ISP students with class registration, payment through WebSMART and counseling appointments via the Student Success Link
  • Reach out to ISP students for important notifications through phone calls and e-mails
  • Assist with the ISP outreach activities such as campus tours and study abroad fairs
  • Assist with the ISP events and programming such as new student welcome and workshops
  • Maintain the ISP general e-mail account, making sure the timely responses to all inquiries and forwarding them to the ISP staff members as necessary
  • Provide general clerical support to the ISP staff. This will include but not limited to: phone calls, data entry, uploading, and creating documents
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned
Requirements Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Outgoing and social
  • Knowledge of relevant software, including Microsoft Products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Photo and Google Forms) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Ability to deal with confidential information with discretion
  • Strong sense of punctuality and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to easily adapt to changing needs of the ISP office and a fast-paced work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in a second language
  • Experience with working in an office environment
  • Flexibility with work schedules
