In order to secure an on-campus job at Skyline College, a student must be enrolled at either Skyline College, Cañada College, or CSM. Students must be enrolled in 6 or more units during the Fall and Spring semesters, and 3 or more units during the Summer session.

To apply for Federal Work-Study (FWS) positions, you must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, have completed a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for the school year, and have received a Federal Work-Study offer. Position Description
General Description:

The Theater Program is in the Social Science and Creative Arts (SS/CA) Division Office at Skyline College. The student will assist the Theater Events Manager in supporting various aspects of the theater events program.

  • Reports directly to the Theater Manager.
  • Assists with bi-annual musical and other musical concerts and division events throughout the semester.
  • Assists with all aspects of theater work, including set design and buildout.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements and Desirable Skills
  • This is a Federal Work Study position and applicants must be eligible

Qualifications:

  • Read and understand technical instructions in English
  • Able to lift and carry large materials and equipment (~40 lbs)
  • Strong sense of punctuality and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to easily adapt to the changing needs of the division and a fast- paced work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Theater, Art or Music Major, or has taken relevant courses.
  • Interest in learning theater work.
  • Flexibility with work schedule.
