Position Description How to apply: Provide a resume, document listing work availability and potential hours, and be work-study approved with minimum of 6 units and maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.The Transfer Center provides comprehensive transfer services, resources, activities, and events. Transfer assistance includes the following: online webinars, application workshops, and informational sessions, university campus tours, transfer fairs and conferences, visits from university admission professionals, and access to computers for college research. In addition, our counseling team assists students in accessing and completing Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) agreements and our counselors assist students with evaluations and educational planning. The counseling is provided by our counselors through their expert knowledge of transfer requirements and transfer articulation information.

Transfer Ambassadors provide direct service to students and the student community. Transfer Ambassadors provide transfer outreach and in-reach service to students to promote awareness of transfer. Transfer Ambassadors also manage front desk responsibilities in the Transfer Center to ensure effective delivery of transfer service to the student population.

Job Description:

  • Perform transfer service office responsibilities under the direction of Transfer Coordinators. The responsibilities include scheduling counseling appointments, organize and file documentation, and assist with front desk reception.
  • Provide direct service to students at Transfer Center Reception desk.
  • Communicate to students about events, activities, and appointment reminders via Phone Calls, Text Messaging, Email, and Social Media mediums.
  • Serves as Transfer Center representative at in-reach and outreach events by providing information, documents, and instructions on how to access Transfer Services.
  • Schedule Transfer Resource presentations with classroom instructors and program coordinators with the support of Transfer Coordinators.
  • Create graphics, documents, flyers, and presentation slides to distribute to student community.
  • Complete data entry reports using Microsoft Office, Google, and other software and technology programs.
  • Assist with event planning that includes event setup and cleanup.
  • Assist the Transfer Center in assigned duties and transfer related projects.
  • Assist the Transfer Program and Service coordinator with transfer special projects as required throughout the Fall and Spring semesters.

  • Cultural humility, and cultural understanding to work with diverse students, and adiverse student population.
  • Knowledge of web-based technologies such as Microsoft Office 365 and/or Google Suite.

Preferred Schedule (open to flexibility):

Tuesday  11 am – 5 pm  6 hours with waiver lunch or 5.5 hours with lunch. 
Thursday  11 am – 5 pm  6 hours with waiver lunch or 5.5 hours with lunch. 
Friday  9 am – 1 pm No lunch. Break after 3.5 hours.
