FWS – Transfer Center Student Assistant

Position Description

Job Duties:

As a Student Assistant, you will support the daily operations of the Transfer Center by providing front desk customer service, assisting students with transfer-related questions and resources, helping coordinate and staff events, workshops, and transfer fairs, creating content for the Transfer Center’s social media platforms, entering data and maintaining records, distributing outreach and promotional materials across campus, and assisting with special projects and administrative tasks as assigned by the Transfer Center Coordinator.

Requirements

We are seeking students who are friendly, dependable, and committed to supporting the success of their fellow students. Successful candidates should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and social media platforms, is preferred. The ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate professionalism in a diverse college environment is essential. Previous experience in customer service, student services, peer mentoring, event support, or social media content creation is desirable but not required. A willingness to learn and contribute positively to the Transfer Center team is required.

This is a Federal Work Study position and applicants must be eligible.
